一、官方数据与移民规模
According to the United Nations, the exact number of foreign nationals residing in China fluctuates due to ongoing migration patterns. As of 2024, the official statistics indicate that there were approximately 10 million foreign-born residents in the country, a significant increase from previous decades. However, its important to note that this figure includes both long-term visa holders and short-term workers, with student visas being another substantial contributor.

The immigrant population in China is diverse, encompassing skilled professionals, entrepreneurs, students, and family members joining Chinese citizens. Skilled workers, particularly in technology and finance, often come for high-paying jobs and professional development. International students, drawn by top-tier universities like Tsinghua and Peking University, contribute to the countrys academic landscape. Family reunification and marriage also play a role in shaping the demographics of this influx.
