Genes and DNA

DNA is the molecule that carries genetic information."（DNA携带着遗传信息。）

The gene sequence determines an organisms traits."（基因序列决定了生物的特征。）
An individual may have two different alleles for a particular gene."（一个人可能对某个基因有两个不同的等位基因。）
• Genotype: 基因型，"A persons genotype is the combination of their inherited genes."（一个人的基因型是他们继承的基因组合。）

CRISPR-Cas9 is a popular gene editing tool."（CRISPR-Cas9是一种流行的基因编辑技术。）
These are organisms with genes from other species inserted into their genome."（这些生物体内插入了来自其他物种的基因。）

The human genome project aimed to sequence the entire human genome."（人类基因组计划旨在测定整个人类基因组。）
These studies help identify genetic factors linked to diseases."（这些研究有助于找出与疾病相关的基因因素。）
